Resumen
Los hemangiomas cavernosos de nervio periférico son lesiones vasculares infiltrativas muy infrecuentes, con algunos reportes de casos en la literatura. Presentamos el caso de paciente de sexo femenino con lesión tumoral de nervio safeno, en la cual se realizó exéresis guiada por ecografía, que al ser evaluada por patólogo, confirmó el diagnóstico de hemangioma cavernoso. Este tipo de lesiones, si bien son de baja frecuencia, se deben considerar dentro de los diagnósticos diferenciales en lesiones de tejido blando localizadas sobre el curso anatómico de nervios periféricos. Si bien la resección total es curativa, dependiendo del nervio involucrado puede considerarse la exéresis subtotal a fin de evitar déficit neurológico secundario, aunque con alto riesgo de recurrencia.
