Spinal Sarcoma Myeloid: Case report and literature review

Abstract
Myeloid Sarcoma (MS), also known as Granulocytic Sarcoma, first described in 1811, is defined as an extramedullary tumor composed of myeloid hematological cells, which is associated with patients with previous hematological disorders. A case is presented of a 32-year-old male patient with a history of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) in remission, who presents with a clinical history of 3 weeks of evolution of radicular pain in the right L5 territory, associated with acute bladder dysfunction of 24 hours duration. Imaging is performed, revealing extensive occupation of the lumbar and sacral canal, as well as soft tissues. Given this, emergency surgery is performed due to a diagnosis of cauda equina. Biopsy results indicate Myeloid Sarcoma.
