They are considered to be surgical managed but depending of certain factors as the neurological status, volume collection, thickness and the midline deviation can be managed medically. In the literature exists less than 20 cases reported which have resolved spontaneously during 24 hours-observation period. Case report: We present a case of a patient with a traumatic epidural hematoma which spontaneously resolved in a 17-hours course without any neurological comprise. Conclusion: The spontaneous resolution of epidural hematomas is a redistribution process of the collection toward other compartments through skull fractures, as we try to expose and confirms the articles reviewed.
